This post will be a bit more detailed, but for I’d figure I’d save everyone a HUGE HEADACHE. cupsaddsmb made me want to put a bullet in my head for over a day, so hopefully this packaged /usr/share/cups/drivers folder will save you the TIME (AND PAIN)!
Here you go! Move the drivers.tar.gz to
/usr/share/cups
and
tar -zxvf drivers.tar.gz
. Try running your cupsaddsmb now… should work great for xp/2k+ either 32 or 64 bit.
